How often should a boiler system be serviced?

How often a boiler system should be serviced varies and you should always refer to the boiler Operation & Installation Manual (OIM). Semi-Annual Safety and combustion checks and Annual Maintenance & PM are best practice.

What is actually completed on a boiler service?

There are many steps completed on a boiler service. Standard preventative maintenance for most packaged steam boilers includes, open & close of the fire and watersides for inspection, replace gaskets and gauge glasses, replace ignition electrode, service wear items such as belts, packing and inspect or replace valve seats and gaskets.
